The Ártabro Gulf

It stretches between the cities of A Coruña and Ferrol, and during our tour we will visit medieval towns such as Betanzos, which offers us a repertoire of medieval architecture with its gothic churches of San Francisco, Santiago or Santa María. Pontedeume, where the nobility and the church have left us traces of their power and grandeur with the bridge and the Andrade tower.

And like a children’s story, we can visit castles and manor houses such as the castle of Santa Cruz, the tower of A Nogueirosa, the controversial “Pazo de Meiras” (manor house) or the interesting gardens by the sea of the Pazo de Mariñan (manor house).

In the north of the province of A Coruña lies the city of Ferrol, which enjoys a privileged location on the ria and was heavily fortified to protect its shipyards and military arsenals, where the most powerful ships of the Spanish navy were built and armed since the 18th century. The district of La Magdalena has the best examples of modernist buildings in Galicia.
