In the heart of Galicia and close to being a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies the Ribeira Sacra, with the largest concentration of Romanesque churches and monasteries in Europe.
In this rugged and spectacular landscape, where deep canyons are crossed by the Miño and Sil rivers, the Romans introduced vine cultivation over 2000 years ago on terraces that seem to descend from the mountains to the river, and today their wines have the Ribeira Sacra protected designation of origin.
The viewpoints over the Miño and Sil rivers take our breath away and the small family wineries allow us to recover, taste and learn the secrets of this ancestral culture. There is also the possibility of discovering the region by means of a trip on a boat trip, which will enrich our visit even more.
It is a land of small and large sanctuaries, churches and monasteries far from the hustle and bustle of the world, whose buildings surprise us, not only for their Romanesque simplicity, but also for their recently discovered and restored wall paintings that offer us the possibility of enjoying ART.
